Remote WordPress developer · UTC+8

Hello! I'm Febelyn. I build WordPress websites, and I fix them when they stop behaving.

For more than ten years I've helped agencies turn designs into WordPress websites that look right on every screen, are easy for clients to edit, and keep working long after launch.

Looking for a long-term remote WordPress role

Currently learning: AIAI is changing how websites get built. I'm learning where it saves time, and where a careful developer still matters most.

A bit about me

I like the quiet work that keeps websites dependable. Most of my projects start with a finished design and end with a WordPress website that keeps every detail of it, on desktop, tablet and phone.

When something breaks, I trace it to the real cause instead of patching around it. Clients tell me I need very little hand-holding: I write clear updates, flag problems early, and test properly before I call something done.

I'm dedicated and loyal to the teams I work with. I prefer long-term remote work with one team, and I look after their clients' websites as if they were my own.

Work log

Each project the way I think about it: what was wrong or needed, what I did, and how it turned out. Client names left out on purpose.

FixedGravity Forms · SMTP · reCAPTCHA

Contact form messages weren't reaching the client

PROBLEM
Enquiries were submitted on the website but never arrived by email.
WHAT I DID
Checked form entries, notification logs, the SMTP connector and reCAPTCHA settings one by one instead of assuming the form was broken.
RESULT
Messages arriving again, with the real cause found.

A villa needed bookings with live availability

NEED
Guests should see open dates and a full price before they enquire.
WHAT I DID
Built a date picker fed by the villa's iCal calendar, with minimum-stay rules, pricing with taxes and fees, and a Gravity Forms enquiry.
RESULT
Guests pick real dates and see the total up front.

The client couldn't add projects without a developer

PROBLEM
The portfolio was built by hand, so every new project meant editing code.
WHAT I DID
Moved it into custom post types and categories, with a filterable grid that builds itself.
RESULT
New projects are added from WordPress, with no code changes.

Questions recruiters ask me

Do you only do the front end?

Front-end is my strength, but I handle the whole WordPress side too: content structure with ACF and custom post types, forms and email delivery, WooCommerce, and keeping live websites running.

Which time zone are you in?

UTC+8. I've worked asynchronously with agencies in other time zones for over five years, using task comments, Slack and clear handoff notes.

Can you work with our page builder?

Most likely. I've worked in Elementor, Beaver Builder, Divi, Bricks, WPBakery, SiteOrigin and Avada, and I adapt to whatever a project already uses.

When can you start?

Right away. I usually reply within one business day.

What kind of role are you looking for?

A long-term, remote position on a team that builds or looks after WordPress websites. I'm also comfortable in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and I take on select projects and ongoing website care.

Do you work on existing websites, or only new builds?

Both. A lot of my work is on live websites: layout fixes, plugin conflicts, form problems and content updates, alongside new builds from Figma.

Will our clients be able to edit the website themselves?

Yes, that's one of my main goals. I build with reusable blocks and patterns, and use ACF fields and custom post types so routine changes happen in WordPress, not in code.

How do you make sure nothing breaks?

I check every page at desktop, tablet and phone sizes, test in the main browsers (with BrowserStack or LambdaTest), and send test entries through every form before I call a job done. After a change, I look over the rest of the website too, so a small fix doesn't break something somewhere else.

How do you keep the team updated?

In writing, so nobody has to wait for a meeting: short updates in task comments, Slack, ClickUp or Asana, blockers flagged early, and notes the next person can follow.

Do you use AI tools?

I'm learning to bring them into my work. AI is changing how websites get built, and it can speed up the routine parts. My job is to make sure what it helps build is correct, works on every screen and in every browser, and is easy for clients to edit.

Why are client names missing from your work?

Most of my work was for agencies, so I leave client names out on purpose. I'm happy to walk you through any project in more detail.

Hiring, or need a hand with a website?

Send me a few lines about the role or the project. I'll reply within one business day.
